Beginning Calligraphy Workshop with Jaclyn Florescio of Yellow and Lace

Join us for a special afternoon with local artist, Jaclyn Florescio of Yellow and Lace, an illustration and design company. In this beginners class, you learn everything you need to know about the basics of calligraphy from the anatomy of a calligraphy pen, to how to hold and write with the pen properly, to how to care for your new tools. In this workshop will learn the basic strokes and will practice various exercises to help you gain control. By the end of the workshop, you will understand and create the formation of letters, words, and finally phrases.

Date: Sunday, September 17th from 1 - 4pm

Skill requirements: This workshop is geared towards beginners.

Material requirements: Registration includes all supplies, including: 2 nibs, an oblique pen, ink, clipboard, practice paper and instructional guide sheet.
